Carrión, Luisito

In his early performances he sung along withCelia Cruz, Adalberto Santiago and Santitos Colon. Later he played in Salsa Fever together with Julio Gunda Mercéd where he had various hits like “Renta de Amor” y “Señores ahí va Julián”. He later joined the Bobby Valentín Orchestra where he sung the hits “El Agua”, “El Señor de las señoras”, “Ramos de flores”, “El Gigolo”, “Tributo de Cali”, y “Como lo hago yo”. In his evolutionary process Luisito joined the Don Perignon Orchestra where he sung “La Fuga” and later joined la Sonora Ponceña where he came out with the songs “Yaré” and “A Comer Lechón”.
In 1997 he recorded with y Su Apollo Sound in the production “Mi música 1997”. In the late 90’s Carrión starts his career as a soloist for MP Records together with Julio Gunda Mercéd and Rafael Bodo Torres where he comes with hits like: Sin tu amor, “La chica mas popular”, “Nadie como tu”, “Porque”, “Amiga Mia”, “Muriendo”, “Como ave sin rumbo” y “"Para ser Real”. Today, Luisito Carrión is regarded as one of Puerto Rico’s top soneros.
